White Ben Bova is standard reading for many sci fi fans, I haven’t gotten excited about any of his books that I’ve read. This one is no different.

The story is set in the near future where global warming threatens to destabilize the entire planet. Two men, one a ruthless technology billionaire, and the other the owner of a once successful technology company, battle to be the first to reach the asteroid belt in order to tap into badly needed resources using a new spaceflight advancement.

It just wasn’t exciting enough for me. I tend toward sci-fi that’s a little further from current reality.
